Isaiah 117 House
Isaiah 117 House is under construction in West TN!!! It is a non-profit designed to lavishly love on children who have been removed from their home and are entering foster care. This organization began in Carter County, TN with one question, “What if there was a home where children could go when they are removed?” What if there was a safe place with friendly, loving volunteers to care for children while they wait for foster placement instead of in a state DCS office with cubicles, no beds, and no showers.
Our founder, Ronda Paulson, started with this vision to open such a home, & it became a reality in 2017. Isaiah 117 House now has 23 open homes and 41 states have reached out to support this mission. Our home, which will serve Gibson, Crockett, and Dyer Counties, is currently under construction. We have had contractors pull together and help us build this house. We hope to be open and serving children soon!
Jennifer Milam was a foster parent, which opened her eyes to the great need and gap in foster care system. She has been working with Isaiah 117 House to open a local home in West TN since 2021. She retired from teaching at SGCES, to volunteer as the local Expansion Coordinator for Isaiah 117 House. She was hired as the Location Leader in September 2023.
