Kenton is a unique town, it sits on the border of Gibson and Obion Counties and enjoys being a Three-star Community from both counties.
Special Events
Kenton proudly calls itself "The Home of the White Squirrel." Various stories are told of how the unique squirrels first came to this small town, but whatever the reason, the squirrels have continued to thrive in Kenton.
Families of white squirrels live in most parts of the town. Special laws and fines protect the treasured animals and each year the city celebrates the special animals with the Kenton White Squirrel Homecoming in July.
