Each July, Dyer celebrates its heritage with a six-day festival. The Dyer Station Celebration features old fashioned, down home fun. A parade, contest and competitions highlight the event, plus many other events designed to appeal to everyone.If there is a set purpose for the celebration, it is to help the community reach its fullest potential and to do so without sacrificing the small town qualities that make Dyer and its inhabitants so special. The park has electricity, gas, water and sewage on site; rail is adjacent to the site and the park sits on BUSINESS 45-W and is 1/2 mile from 45-W. There are other industrial buildings for sale or lease in the business section of the city. SchoolsDyer is part of the GIBSON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT (see information under EDUCATION). The is an elementary school and a middle school within the city for Dyer's children and the district's high school is in Dyer.
